Traineeship - Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Land-cover Mapping applied to Biological Invasions

Nowadays, ladybird community in the Azores is composed mainly by small sized species, although large species have been observed in the archipelago in the past. It is believed that the Azorean ladybird community composition has evolved according to the habitat disturbance, with a progressive reduction or even elimination of their preferred/essential habitats.
To test this hypothesis, we pretend to elaborate a cartographic map for ladybird species in S. Miguel island
