The workshop is focused on innovation in the forestry sector supported through Rural Development and other instruments in the 2014–2020 programming period, as proposed by the European Innovation Partnership Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability. It will address the four innovation challenges of the sector prioritized in the workshop 2014:

1 - Managing Impacts related to Climate Change
2 - Supporting Wood and Biomass Mobilization
3 - Supporting the Provision of Ecosystem Services
4 - Improving Sustainable Forest Management Approaches and Tools
