La Oficina Económica y Cultural de Taipei (OECT) en España convoca a los interesados españoles para participar en los concursos de las CATORCE (14) becas para aprender el idioma chino-mandarín o estudiar carreras de GRADO, MASTER o DOCTORADO en la República de China (Taiwán) desde el septiembre de 2015.

I. BECA TAIWAN 2015

La Oficina Económica y Cultural de Taipei en España (OECT) convoca a los interesados españoles en cursar TRES (3) becas para estudiar carreras de GRADO, MASTER o DOCTORADO en la República de China (Taiwán), a participar en el Concurso de Selección.

1.Las becas se concederán a personas mayores de edad (18 años), con nivel educativo mínimo de bachillerato y de nacionalidad española.

2.Descripción de Beca:
Susodichas carreras pueden ser cursadas en chino mandarín o en inglés, dependiendo del interés de los solicitantes y las carreras disponibles de la Liga de Universidades de Taiwán (como anexo) y de los English Programs autorizados por el Ministerio de Educación de la República de China (Taiwán). Grado: máximo 4 años, desde el 1˚ de septiembre de 2015 hasta el 31 de agosto de 2019
Máster: máximo 2 años, desde el 1˚ de septiembre de 2015 hasta el 31 de agosto de 2017
Doctorado: máximo 4 años, desde el 1˚ de septiembre de 2015 hasta el 31 de agosto de 2019

(2) Cuantía
-Una subvención máxima de NT$ 40.000 (1.065 eruos arpox.) en concepto de matrícula y tasa académica.
-Manutención mensual
Grado: NT$ 15.000 (400 euros aprox.)
Máster y Doctorado: NT$ 20.000 (530 euros aprox.)

II. BECA HUAYU 2015

La Oficina Económica y Cultural de Taipei en España (OECT) convoca a los interesados españoles en cursar ONCE (11) becas para aprendizaje del idioma chino mandarín por UN año o SEIS meses en la República de China (Taiwán), a participar en el Concurso de Selección.

1.Las becas se concederán a personas mayores de edad (18 años), con nivel educativo mínimo de bachillerato y de nacionalidad española.

2.Descripción de Beca:

(1)Asignación de cuotas:
Tres (3) becas por UN AÑO: desde el 1˚ de septiembre de 2015 hasta el 31 de agosto de 2016
Ocho (8) becas por SEIS MESES: desde el 1˚ de septiembre de 2015 hasta el 28 de febrero de 2016

(2)Manutención mensual: NT$ 25.000 (610 euros aprox.)
Las universidades en que estudian los becarios concederán esta cuantía cada mes, dependiendo de la asistencia y la calificación de los becarios durante los cursos.
Tanto el billete ida y vuelta de avión como otros gastos durante el periodo de la beca, tales como el alojamiento, la comida, el transporte y el seguro correrán a cargo de los propios becarios. Los becarios, a partir del quinto mes de la obtención de su Carnét de Residencia, pueden y deben asociarse al Seguro Nacional de Salud Pública.

Prácticas - Traineeship in Committee of the Regions (CoR)

Every year, the Committee of the Regions (CoR) offers a limited number of university graduates a five-month traineeship:

• from 16 February to 15 July (spring session);
• from 16 September to 15 February of the following year (autumn session).

Each trainee is assigned to a specific department of the CoR. The nature of the work depends largely on the unit. Some units are more politically oriented, others are more administrative. In general, the type of work assigned is equivalent to that performed by junior executive-grade officials (AD5).

The aim of the traineeship within the CoR is:

• to provide a unique, first-hand experience of the workings of the CoR in particular, and of the EU institutions in general;
• to acquire practical experience and knowledge of the day-to-day work of the Committee's departments;
• to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment;
• you will have the opportunity to organise a study visit to a European local or regional authority, in connection with the Committee’s political priorities;
• to put into practice knowledge acquired during studies, particularly in your areas of competence.

Admission criteria

To apply for a traineeship at the CoR, a number of basic requirements must be fulfilled.

Applicants must:

• be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union or of a State which is an official candidate for accession;
• have completed at least the first cycle of a higher education course and obtained a full degree by the closing date for applications;
• have a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the European Union and a satisfactory knowledge of another EU-working language (French or English).

Important notice

1. In order to enable as many European citizens as possible to familiarize themselves with the European institutions, no application shall be accepted from any person who has already received more than eight weeks of any kind of in-service training (formal or informal, paid or unpaid) within a European institution or body [2], or who has been in any kind of employment within a European institution or body, including anyone who is or has been an assistant to a Member of the European Parliament, an intramural consultant or researcher, a temporary staff member, a contract staff member, an auxiliary staff member or an interim staff member of any EU institution, body, delegation or representative office.
2. Applicants of third countries may be granted a traineeship by the Secretary General in exceptional, duly motivated cases.
    

Traineeship period

There are two training periods per year:

Spring session: from 16 February to 15 July

Autumn session: from 16 September to 15 February

EFIMED is now seeking a Project Manager for the ERA-Net: Enhancing forest research in the Mediterranean through improved coordination and integration - FORESTERRA. 

The Project Manager will work closely with the Coordinator of FORESTERRA at the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (Directorate General for Science and Technology), providing managerial and logistical support and contributing to the development and implementation of all envisaged activities.
In particular, she/he will:

• facilitate the day-to-day activity of the partnership, as well as all legal, contractual, financial and administrative management
• follow up the activities of each partner in carrying out the work programme and keeping to the budget under the directives of the Steering Committee (SC) and the Coordinator
• support all partners with regard to European Commission reporting tasks
• prepare, organise and report on the consortium’s SC and project management meetings
• ensure the effective internal flow of communications and information exchange between partners

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in forestry, agriculture or environmental sciences
• At least 5 years’ experience in the management of international research projects or programmes
• Proficiency in English and Spanish. Good knowledge of and French is an asset

The Project Manager will be an EFI staff member. The successful candidate will be expected to take up the post in March 2015. A fixed term appointment until December 2015 is envisaged.
